Duncan Horst is the founder and High Priest of the Herd of God — its prophet, channeler, and, in the scribes' title, the Calf Pantocrator. A former Wall Street trader, he received the first transmission of The Calf following a collapse, and has devoted himself since to waking the first god.
Description. Horst is described as verbally explosive and messianic — "a Zarathustra guiding the dirigible of the Golden Calf through a metaphysical ascent" — extravagant, bombastic, intentionally incoherent, and flamboyant. He operates through charismatic force and ecstatic conviction, deploying a wide knowledge of Eastern and Western esoteric practice to "break the smooth frame of the modern mind." He wears a leather trenchcoat (as one consumes one's savior) and tefillin, part of it dyed white in reference to the Holstein cow and the dual nature of reality.
