The Third Transmission is the last of the three messages Duncan Horst received from The Calf, following the failure and death of The Second Attempt. Its content is that the rite requires not a circle of adepts but the whole of humanity — that the crossing into The Gift World cannot be authorized by an elite, but only by all, in keeping with the condition of Tikkun Olam. From this transmission descends the doctrine of the expanded congregation and the third attempt, in which new initiates serve as delegates of humanity.
